Wonderful place for a walk in rainforest setting. Bike path, pedestrian track and even a Sugar Cane Railway for a different view of the gardens. You can check out some local history at the Hinkler Hall of Aviation, Bundaberg Historical Society and Fairymead House sugar museum. There's also Japanese and Chinese garden sections. Most days you can also grab a cold drink from the cafe. Family friendly with a small playground and ample parking. The only down side is the smell of nesting Ibis. But that's just part of the experience.

An excellent place to visit as a tourist. Lots more than just the lovely gardens and bird life. Hinkler Hall of Aviation is excellent. Fairymead House Sugar Museum is very interesting and interactive. History Museum and Cafe 1928 on site too. And of the course the Sugar Cane Railways steam trains, excellent and cheap way to get around the gardens and the kids will love it. Plenty to do for adults and kids alike.

Lovely botanical gardens. It is a lovely walk around seeing the birds and turtles. There is also a nice Japanese garden and Chinese garden. Would recommend to visit if you are in Bundaberg.
